Former NBA great, Michael Jordan, found it rather hilarious that Ervin "Magic" Johnson's namesake,
Ervin Jr, is an out and proud member of the LGBT community -- that is, until the chicken came to roost in his yard. Jordan's daughter, Jasmine, has came out the closet as being a lesbian.
I gather that he could ask Johnson how he has come to terms as to how his child chose to be a part of an alternative lifestyle versus one of societal normalcy -- assuming that Johnson not ask about the jokes made about his son anytime in the conversation.
