Pauletta Washington remained with Actor/Husband, Denzel Washington despite his previous indiscretions primarily because they involved women of color; namely, Black women.
They were, ethnically speaking, on the "same playing ground" as she. However, her privilege as being his wife set the tone for her having either disdain for them and grounds for her to speak of them as lowly beings who were desperate despite her showing desperation in keeping him amidst his penchant for infidelity.
Now, that his latest indiscretion happens to be with a young, White woman; the epitome of beauty perpetuated by the media, she's distraught and ready to leave him -- once and for all. Imagine that, a white woman brought her out of being desensitized to his years of cheating...smh.
